Vilma's passion for writing, performing, and directing her own works under her own production company has always burned brightly.

 

Fortunately, the Arts Council England commissioned her to create her first solo performance, 'Triple Oppression.' This powerful short story details her struggles, aspirations, and accomplishments growing up as a Black, Woman and Deaf.

 

'Triple Oppression' has received widespread critical acclaim, earning four prestigious awards from the likes of the Los Angeles Film Awards, New York Film Awards, FilmCon Awards, and Festigious International Film Festival.
