From early on in my childhood I was always fascinated by TV and movies. Specifically the actors and performing artists. I knew that's what I wanted to be.
I am lucky enough to have had a successful 12 year career as a performing artist, working on some wonderful projects! These include - The Silent Killer (2012), Falling for Vilma (2013) and Small World (2014). The critically acclaimed Dear Hearing World was particularly close to my heart. I also collaborated with the British Band Women's Hour when they wanted to translate their hit song 'Her Ghost' into British Sign Language for the Music Video.
More recently I have collaborated on two fantastic projects called 'Silent Night' and 'Beethoven' whilst writing, producing and performing my own two pieces of original work under the Vilma Jackson Productions umbrella.
Triple Oppression was acclaimed and won an incredible 4 international short film awards. The Vilma Jackson Show was very important to me personally as I wanted to provide a platform for diverse, deaf artists to explain their experiences in industry and showcase their talent.

SEND BACK THE ECHO - UNITED STRINGS OF EUROPE
'send back the echo' is not an homage to the myth or legend of Beethoven. It is a journey inspired by a deaf musician. The composer's personal letters and memoirs reveal a human story of intense passion, fear and joy as he reconciled solitude and deafness with a deep love of nature and music.
